6 very important things we learned about Gigi Hadid from her chat with Grimmy

Familiar with Gigi Hadid? We think you might be. Professional clothes horse. International supermodel. One half of the world's coolest couple (who also happen to have the coolest moniker), Zigi. In short: she's a pretty big deal.

Joining Grimmy for a chat in the studio alongside long-time collaborator, Tommy Hilfiger, Gigi spilled the beans on, well, beans (she loves 'em, apparently), the set life of the world's most in-demand supermodel and sharing a wardrobe (sorry, 'closet') with a certain Mr Malik. Here are 6 things we learned...

When you've shared a Vogue cover, sharing the contents of your wardrobe is truly NBD.

"Well our closets are in the same house! He has much better clothes than me and more clothes. It's easier for me to fit into his clothes than for him to fit into mine. He takes t-shirts and glasses. I have a huge sunglasses collection and that's usually what he steals from me. If you can make it work, you make it work.

"Yesterday I took my own sunglasses to the airport and he texted me saying 'did you take my sunglasses?' and I'm like 'do you mean mine?!'"

Did someone say wardrobe goals?! Shades, ahem, shade aside, Gigi had nothing but praise for Zayn's styling.

"He inspires me a lot to funk it up and wear what makes me happy."

Well you would, wouldn't you?

When she's not storming the runway and racking up some more Vogue covers (casual), Gigi is probably at home trying out her British accent tekkers. How does Zayn feel about that? Over to you, G...

"Sometimes Z thinks I'm making fun of him. I'm like 'babe, I just LOVE the accent!' It's fun."

(We know that the above is categorically not a Sunday roast. Sadly Gigi has failed to photographically document her newfound fave dish. A pizza will suffice for now.)

"Zayn has helped me a lot with my British food love and Indian food love," Gigi told Grimmy. "His mum's an amazing cook so they've made me a huge fan of British food. Sunday roast, love! Curry. I'm trying to learn everything as I go and make a little cookbook. Write it all down. Instead of annoying his mum every week, texting her."

Is there a sweeter image than that of Zigi lovingly collaborating on a good ol' home-cooked roast dinner? We think not. We want ours swimming in gravy, plz.

Celebrity riders are incredible things. While Jay-Z apparently insist on late-model Maybach's and a dressing room kept at 73 degrees, Gigi likes it keep her requests a little more low key.

"I always ask for chips and guacamole. Sorry, crisps! Maybe here I'll get Nando's." Other chicken shops are available, of course...

Viewers of US reality TV will be familiar with Yolanda Hadid: mum of Gigi, Bella and Anwar and former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills. Yolanda is a fountain of wisdom and a former model herself, so it seems only right that she regularly passes on proverbial pearls to her ridiculously good looking offspring.

"She taught me a lot about the industry and never sugarcoated it. She always said 'if you're not the nicest, most hard-working person in the industry, there's gonna be someone prettier, nicer and more hard-working'.

"So every day go to work, you're going to be there the same amount of time regardless, you might as well be pleasant and leave everyone on set better than you found them."

We'd like a mumma Hadid pep talk, TBH.

As far as sharing a job and supermodel status with her little sister, Bella, Gigi has nothing but level-headed words of wisdom to those who suggest that they're competitive...

"I've always said, and this goes for my sister and other models, if they want someone that looks like me they're not going to want Bella and if they want someone that looks like Bella, they're not going to want me. So I think you can't take it personally, you can't make it a rivalry against your friends - and, in my case, my sister - because we're just different. At the end of the day it's visual, it's creative, it's not personal.

"It's so nice to look across a really busy backstage and be able to see my sister and give a thumbs up."

D'awh, you guys!!
