5 stars who were forced to cancel their tours

It was only last week that Lady Gaga took to Instagram to let fans know that she wouldn't be appearing at Brazil's Rock In Rio festival:
"Brazil, I'm devastated that I'm not well enough to come to Rock In Rio. I would do anything 4 u but I have to take care of my body right now. I ask for your grace and understanding, and promise that I will come back and perform for you soon."

Lady Gaga has postponed the European leg of her world tour
Gaga has revealed that she suffers from fibromyalgia and needs to get stronger.
And this week the singer has updated her Little Monsters on her health, revealing that she suffers from fibromyalgia - a long-term condition that causes chronic pain - and would be cancelling the European leg of her world tour...
Revealing that the chronic pain is 'complicated and difficult to explain', Gaga wrote that she hopes to be strong enough soon to take to the stage soon: "I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more."
But Gaga isn't the only superstar to cancel their tour. From Adele to Kanye, here are 5 other artists who know how it feels...
Adele

Adele, A.K.A. the patron saint of sad feels, had a whole bunch of people blubbing after announcing in July that she wouldn't be performing her two final Wembley shows.
"I'm sorry for the nights you would have had with your loved ones and the memories you would have made together." No, you're crying.
After serenading record-breaking crowds at 121 shows, Adele's vocals were compromised: "I've struggled vocally both nights. I had to push a lot harder than I normally do. I felt like I constantly had to clear my throat, especially last night... And on medical advice I simply am unable to perform over the weekend."
Fans were, understandably, devastated but we've got to protect Adele's gift of a voice at all costs, right?
Sam Smith

Back in 2K15, Sam Smith experienced similar vocal chord issues to Adele and had to cancel his Australian tour.
"I am deeply, deeply saddened to tell my Australian fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour," Smith shared on Instagram. "I have been vocally exhausted for a while now however last night in Sydney I had a small haemorrhage on my vocal cords. The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am. This kills me."
Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber has cancelled the remaining dates of his Purpose World Tour
"I'm sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed."
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts," was the message uploaded to Justin's official site earlier this year.
"Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months... However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates."
While the reason behind Bieber's decision is still murky, we know exactly what he's planning on doing with his newfound freedom. "I have been on tour for two years," Biebs told the paps. "I'm looking forward to just resting, getting some relaxation and we're going to ride some bikes."
Miley Cyrus

Rewind to April 2014 and Miley Cyrus' prolonged hospital stay. After having an allergic reaction to some antibiotics, Miley was under doctor's orders to go on medical rest, causing her to cancel a host of dates on her Bangerz tour.
Miley's fandom - also known as 'Smilers' - were, predictably, gutted but Miley kept them in the loop via incessant tweeting from her hospital bed, complete with emojis galore (what else?!). And, just in case there were any doubters out there, the singer's rep released a statement:
"This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”
Kanye West

Less of a medical emergency and more of a mystery, Kanye cancelled the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo tour back in November 2016.
Serving up a literal mic-drop, Kanye called out Bey, Jay-Z and Mark Zuckerberg before announcing: "I've been sent here to give y'all my truth - even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career. Get ready to have a field day, press, because the show's over."
Later reports cited the rapper as suffering from exhaustion, a move that saw him cancel plans for a UK and European tour in 2017.
Moral of the story: if your fave calls time on their concerts, it's probably for good reason.
