5 pop stars who are so over girl vs. girl rivalries

Fifth Harmony aren't exactly thrilled with being shamed by Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding, but when presented with her comments by the press, kept the shade thrown back to a minimum.

The media loves a feud, but the people involved are less keen - especially when, in some cases, gossip can make rivalries last for years.
Here are five stars who are over it. They want more support for their fellow female pop stars and less drama. We're down for that.
P!nk says pitting women in pop against each other is "awful"

“I haven’t been fired out of a cannon yet”- P!nk’s aiming for the ultimate stage entrance
Nerve-racking, and not to mention a health and safety nightmare.
P!nk and Christina Aguilera performed together on their iconic Lady Marmalade cover in 2001, but label execs drove a wedge between the two by insisting Christina got the part with the "most singing."
But P!nk, who has been a spokesperson for equality, acceptance and tolerances throughout her career says their troubles are over and wants both musicians and fans to quit fuelling the feuds.
"We can no longer be happy for each other," she wrote on Twitter.
"I love Xtina. We've made amends."
"Music brings us all together. The best part of music is- there's room for everyone to win at the same time. Don't be what's wrong w/da world.
"Let's be an example of inclusion and celebration."
Selena Gomez hopes girls can "stop hurting each other"

“That feeling is so addictive to me” - Selena Gomez on the honeymoon period
Selena reveals that Bad Liar is about the elusive honeymoon period in a relationship.
Selena Gomez is a close friend of Taylor Swift and started her career working with Demi Lovato at Disney.
And she has named the two as role models for supporting other females in the music industry - while sharing her disappointment about how many women are perceived to treat each other.
"I love Demi and Taylor - they support females and love to have that empowerment," Selena told Seventeen magazine in 2014.
"I wish girls would stop hurting each other."
Amen Selena.
Katy Perry wants to end the biggest pop feud of our time

OK, Katy Perry's current single Swish Swish may or may not be about her rivalry with Taylor Swift but Katy has gone on record to say she wants their feud to end.
"I think personally that women together, not divided, with none of this petty shit, women together will heal the world," Katy told James Corden when she joined him for Carpool Karaoke earlier this year.
However, she did say it was Taylor's job to heal the rift.
"She started it, and it's time for her to finish it."
"I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn't speak to me."
So that's positive-ish, right?
Fifth Harmony have support from a girlgroup legend
Fifth Harmony may have thrown a touch of shade on Sarah Harding, but the US girlgroup mostly spread a message of female empowerment - and they've been getting it back in return.
Lauren from 5H revealed that they had recently received support from former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland over the loss of Camila Cabello in 2016. And if anyone knows how to survive a line-up change, it's Kelly.
"She's so real and so genuine when she speaks to us," Lauren told Time magazine.
"She saw us and was like, 'I'm so proud of y'all for sticking together and being strong together.'"
"She told us, 'Let everything out in your music. Just go in there and write your faces off. Let the music speak for itself.'"
"That was right before we started our album writing process. Her passion for what she was telling us - she was so serious in saying that she believed in us."
And don't go looking for a Little Mix / Fifth Harmony rivalry

So much love for these ladies in Hull - they gave it right back with a fantastic set.
And it's not just Kelly Rowland who loves 5H. Little Mix are often pitted against each other in the press, but LM are full of praise for their US counterparts.
"We love Fifth Harmony," said Jade Thirlwall, when the group were asked about Camila Cabello's departure on The Zach Sang Show earlier this year.
"We think they're a great group, and they still will be. They're still four incredible performers and singers."
"In life you just have to do what makes you happy," Jesy added.
"If Camila wasn't happy, she wasn't happy. They'll continue without her and they're amazing."
