6 new celebrity couples we can't get enough of

Is Caroline Flack dating Love Island's 'Muggy' Mike?

The unlikeliest couple to come out of the villa? Maybe...

There's nothing more exciting than a new relationship, whether that's yours or your favourite celeb's and 2017 is proving to be a bumper year for hot new hook-ups.

More and more are confirmed all the time, with Selena Gomez recently dropping the tiniest tidbit of information about Taylor Swift's new romance and Love Island's 'Muggy' Mike adding fuel to the 'is he dating Caroline Flack?' fire. Here are six of our favourite new relationships of 2017, all of which we hope has a happy ending.

In a plot twist none of us saw coming, it's rumoured that Caroline Flack - host of Love Island (y'know, that ridiculously popular reality TV show that we can't stop talking about, even though it's over. WHAT WILL WE DO WITH OUR EVENINGS NOW?!) - is dating one of the show's contestants, Mike Thalassitis, A.K.A. 'Muggy' Mike.

Speculation started swirling after Caroline posted a photo of the pair shortly after Mike got the proverbial boot from the loved-up villa but the rumours hit an all time high after the Love Island reunion show, when Mike posted a photo of him and Flack to his Instagram stories, captioning it: 'Who really won Love Island' complete with stuck-out tongue emoji.

We'll leave it there.

Laura Whitmore & Iain Stirling

Another day, another celebrity coupling that we can totally get on board with: Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling. Now, while you might not be familiar with Iain's face, you're sure as hell going to be familiar with his dulcet tones because he's the voice of *drum roll, please* Love Island! (We promise we'll stop talking about it now.)

The couple supposedly met at a work party last summer, hitting it off and hanging out with mutual pals before (again, supposedly) making their relationship status official earlier this year. Guess we'll just wait and see when one of these guys drops an adorable 'Gram confirming the news...

Selena Gomez & The Weeknd

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have reportedly been dating since January 2017, hooking up a few short months after he split with his previous girlfriend, Bella Hadid.

Things got Insta-official on 16 April 2017 when Selena posted a photo of the ridiculously happy couple on social media.

Since getting together Selena has dropped a new song, Bad Liar, which is one of her slickest tracks yet, so dating one of the coolest men in music may be rubbing off on the most-followed person on Instagram and former Disney star.

And at last, she has finally shaken off the shadow of her turbulent, long-running relationship with Justin Bieber.

Taylor Swift & Joe Alwyn

No one's love life is more discussed than Taylor Swift's, so a new potential BF is big news for anyone who follows the lives of the celebs.

She is currently dating rising British actor Joe Alwyn (now to rise even faster, no doubt) and while they haven't gone public with their relationship, the two were spotted together recently in Taylor's hometown of Nashville.

And by 'spotted' we mean they were snapped by a paparazzi with a long-lense camera having breakfast on a hotel balcony. So they're not chasing media attention just yet.

More importantly, her recently partnered BFF Selena Gomez revealed in an interview that Taylor was really happy with her hot new boyfriend.

"If my friends are happy, that makes me happy," she said in an interview with SiriusXM, when asked about Taylor's new relationship. "That's all I care about."

Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner

The perfect pairing of bright young stars, flawless pop icon Joe and potential queen of Westeros went official with their relationship in January 2017.

Sophie posted about Joe on Instagram

Despite their busy schedule they pair have spent much of 2017 together and Sophie revealed that as one of Hollywood's hottest young stars, it makes more sense for her to have a famous boyfriend.

"I found it easier to date someone who understands the industry or is in that world,” she told InStyle magazine in May 2017.

"You realize that you’re not going to see each other all the time. And you don’t feel like a jerk when you’re like, ‘My publicist says I can’t do this.’"

It's not a problem we've encountered in our relationships, but we feel you Sophie, we feel you.

Nicki Minaj & Nas

We're not totally sure what to make of Nicki Minaj's relationship with rap icon Nas.

On the one hand, they've been looking pretty intimate on Instagram recently and Nicki has admitted they pair have been "having sleepovers."

But she also says she has sworn off men for 2017 and is taking some time out for herself after her 2016 break up with rapper Meek Mill.

"I’m just chilling right now, I’m celibate. I wanted to go a year without dating any men, I hate men. But I might make an exception to the rule for him," she said in an interview with Ellen about her relationship status.

"He’s a rap legend, and I have a lot of respect for that," she added.

"And he’s kinda cute too."
