6 pop stars who would kill it on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing

It's official: The Saturdays' Mollie King and EastEnders' Davood Ghadami been revealed as the first celebrity contestants of Strictly Come Dancing 2017. In disbelief that it's that time of the year already? Same. We'll let you recover from the shock...
Ready? Grand. Dishing the deets exclusively to Grimmy, the former Saturdays singer seemed more than up for the challenge (and the costumes): "I'm so excited to learn Latin and ballroom dancing, and of course I can't wait to get into the sequins too! It's going to be a lot of hard work but I'm ready for the challenge."

"I'm going to be giving it my all, Grimmy!" - Mollie King revealed as the first Strictly contestant
She's ready to dance and very competitive!
While we're psyched to find out who else will be salsa'ing up a storm on that famous dance floor (any guesses?), we've got our own Strictly Come Dancing dream team in mind. From Ed Sheeran to Lorde, if their music videos are anything to go by, these stars have got the moves to snag that glitter ball trophy...
Ed Sheeran

Who knew that Ed Sheeran was such a smooth mover? Not us and, surprisingly, not Ed.
"My thought process for [Thinking Out Loud] was that I don't need to do this, I'm a musician. I don't need to be in the video," Ed told reporter Kevin Hughes. "I'm only doing this as a personal thing, like thinking I could dance. And when it started getting really tough, that part of me started kicking in. Like why am I doing this?... And then, I don't know, I rarely start something that I don't finish. I find giving up halfway through is one of the worst qualities that you can have, so I just made sure I finished it. And it worked out!"
1.7 billion YouTube views later, we think it's safe to say that Ed would be a serious contender for the SCD crown. Fancy it, Sheeran?
Camila Cabello

Crying in the club? Not on Camila's watch. Tearing up the dance floor? Knock yourself out.
While the former Fifth Harmony singer doesn't cover as much ground as Ed, she shows signs of promise in the form of whipping her hair back and forth in a glass box in the middle of the aforementioned no-crying-allowed club.
Bruno Mars
(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)
OK, we're calling it: Bruno Mars has 'winner' written all over his dancing feet.
Aptly dubbed 'Little Elvis' as a child, it seems as though the 24K Magic singer has always been in possession of slinky hips and quick feet and he's on a mission to make us all us feel similarly:
"I can’t write a better song than my heroes have written already...," Bruno told the Evening Standard. "But maybe I can write a song that can bring everybody together on the dance floor."
10s all round, we reckon.
Lorde
(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)
Behold, the dark horse of the competition.
Unlike other stars, Lorde steers clear of choreographed dance, opting instead to let her limbs roam wild and free. Relatable? You betcha. From the street to the bathroom, the Green Light singer lets loose with moves that closely resemble our own.
After receiving some criticism for her dancing on SNL, Lorde clapped back via a Facebook post, complete with old school emoji: "One day I will do a normal dance choreographed by a nice person and I will look more like your other favorite performers but we have not yet reached that day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
Craig Revel Horwood + Lorde's clapbacks = TV gold, right?
Chance the Rapper
(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)
Chance the Rapper (real name: Chancellor Johnathan Bennett) is a fairly busy fella, so we're not entirely sure that he'd have time to foxtrot his way through 12 weeks of Strictly schedule but, after seeing his performance in the 'May I Have This Dance' music video, we're sure he'd make an impact.
What is he practicing for? Who is he practicing for? The next series of SCD, perhaps? (Unlikely but let us dream, OK?)
Little Mix
(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)
We haven't quite figured out the logistics of having all of the Little Mix girls compete in SCD - and we couldn't possibly pick just one! - but we think their routine for 'Touch' more than warrants them a spot on the competitors list.
From intricate bodysuits to dancing with pros, this candy-hued video is basically a hop, skip and jazzy jump away from a night on the Strictly tiles. So, what do you says gals? You up for it?
