Rag'n'Bone man shook our socks off!

There was no mistaking that bellowing blues voice when BBC Sound of 2017 runner up Rag'n'Bone man (real name Rory Graham) returned to the Radio 1 Live Lounge for the third time ever, continuing the epic Live Lounge Month. But while we know he could pretty much blow the roof off with his vocals, he kept things pretty pared down - and it was oh so special as a result.
Following hot on the heels of the likes of Rita Ora, George Ezra and Wolf Alice, Rory had some serious talent to follow - but the Sussex-born soulster was more than up to the challenge. Need to experience that unique, gargantuan but oh-so-emotive voice once again? Here's how it all went down...brace yourselves, it gets emotional.

Rory has had a pretty astonishing year so far - playing to huge crowds at Glastonbury, winning both British Breakthrough Act and the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards and entering the UK Album Charts at No 1 with his debut album Human. He's also co-created his very own mini-human, after becoming a Dad, too.
"I realise how long I'm on the road for and stuff like that," he revealed to Clara. "I always can't wait to get home now." Aw!
He first popped on our radar in 2011, after uploading his music to BBC Introducing (who are celebrating their 10th Anniversary with BBC Music Introducing Live at the 02 Academy in Brixton on October 4th).
But after all that, he admitted he still felt a bit nervous before the Live Lounge. Well, it's good to be kept on your toes!

BBC Music Introducing Live
Celebrating 10 years of supporting unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar artists...
He left us swooning with As You Are
First up, Rory and his crew tackled As You Are, his warm and uplifting recent single. He bought in a small gospel choir for a restrained and gorgeous arrangement, which mostly saw him singing softly with just some talented guitar playing for company. "It's nice to let a song breathe," Rory explained, talking about his spare and stripped back interpretation of the song.
"Oh he's a smooth one isn't he!" said Clara afterwards, echoing what we were ALL thinking.
He gave us GOOSEBUMPS with Skin
For his classic track, Rory made things even more intimate and special by covering Skin with just himself and a keys player - allowing THAT voice to really shine.
"Lots of feelings, lots of feelings!" sighed Clara, speaking for all of us, before suggesting that the Live Lounge version of the track could surely be the perfect, atmospheric choice for an Eastenders Christmas advert.
"I would be HONOURED," said Rag'n'Bone man. Roll on the festive season...
He electrified us with Gimme Shelter
For his classic cover track, taken from any Radio 1 moment in the past fifty years, Rory became one of the only Live Lounge month artists (along with Miley Cyrus) to head as far back as the 1960s. He made a bold choice, going for one of the greatest rock'n'roll songs of all time - 1969's Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones. The iconic band introduced Rory's beloved blues to a lot of people in the UK.
"A lot of people wouldn't know about the blues, if it wasn't for the Rolling Stones," Rory told Clara.
Backed up by the choir and some incredible electric guitar solos, he really let his powerful vocals go wild on the epic track - to spine-tinging, haunting results.
'"Electrifying dare I say" said Clara afterwards. You dare Clara, you dare.
