Celebrity offspring who will one day take over the world

Jay-Z has finally revealed the meaning behind the twins' names

Been wondering how Bey and Jay came up with Sir and Rumi? Wonder no more.

It's been over two months since Beyoncé gave birth to twins, Sir and Rumi, but the Beyhive (us included, naturally) is still frantically buzzing, hoping Bey and Jay will dish more info on their little ones and give us a peek at life as part of the Carter clan.

What does the inside of Casa Del Carter look like? What kind of cribs are the twins chilling in? Are gold-plated cribs a thing? Who is on nappy duty? Will they follow in Blue Ivy's footsteps and feature on a Beyonce track? And what does the universe have in store for the already incredibly famous twosome? Our guess: world domination. Or, y'know, something along those lines.

Because let's face it, Bey and Jay's little ones are two of a number of stars who, in about 15 years, will probably be running the world. Here's more about the pop newborns and their future celebrity playmates.

Sir and Rumi Carter

Beyoncé's pregnancy was kept on the hush-hush and, while the world speculated about when she'd given birth, it was Bey's dad, Matthew Knowles, who was the first to confirm the news, taking to Twitter to congratulate the music juggernauts on their new arrivals.

Since then, though? The Knowles-Carter's have kept a low profile, with Bey drip-feeding us info through perfectly executed Instagram posts. It was through such an Insta post that we gleaned our first look at the world's most talked about twins (sorry, Mary-Kate and Ashley) and discovered their names: Sir Carter and Rumi.

Our first question: Is Sir Carter's name Sir Carter Carter? Why did Bey not write 'Sir and Rumi Carter'? Is Rumi a standalone name, like Cher? We'd really appreciate you clearing these questions up, guys. The sooner the better.

As for the names themselves, Jay shed some light on the name picking decision process on the Rap Radar podcast: "Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter,” Jay explained, referring to 13th-century Persian poet. “Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.”

So, there you have it. Who run the world? Sir and Rumi Carter, we're guessing.

Cheryl's pregnancy kept the UK guessing for what seems like a lot longer than nine months but that's all over now, after the X Factor star gave birth to her first son in late March, 2017.

Opting for a slightly unusual baby name, Cheryl and Liam called their baby boy Bear and said that he was "already stealing hearts."

"We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival," she wrote.

Liam said the birth had left him "speechless" and paid tribute to Cheryl on his Instagram.

"I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this," he wrote.

"She's really made my dreams come true."

Dream Kardashian

Dream was born in the most celebrity way possible for 2016 - shortly after his mum shared a Mannequin Challenge in the delivery room.

Parents Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, grandma Kris Jenner and hospital staff froze to grab a slice of social media's latest craze.

Rob paid tribute to Dream and Blac, writing on Instagram: "I'm so lucky!"

"I love you so much and can't wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy."

George Windsor

Well, he's the only child on this list who will become an actual king, so George Windsor is guaranteed a very special future.

Already, he has been a cover star of countless newspapers across the world as the media obsesses over one of the youngest royals.

At just three years old, he is already third in line to the throne in the UK, after father Prince William and grandad Prince Charles.

Freddie Reign Tomlinson

Louis is definitely the 'quiet one' from One Direction but those boyband genes run deep and we're betting little Freddie Tomlinson has some of what makes his dad so special.

While Harry takes over Hollywood, Niall takes over our airwaves and Zayn takes over the fashion scene, Louis and Liam have been juggling parent duties with studio duties. Will Freddie and Bear form two-fifths of a boyband super group like Louis and Liam? Watch this space...

Angelo Adkins

Angelo Adkins is being kept out of the spotlight by his mum Adele, which is why the picture above is of Adele with a dog and not her four-year-old son.

"Right now he can choose if he wants a bag of crisps or a banana, but he can’t make a choice about being in the public eye," she told Vanity Fair in 2015.

"If when he’s 16 he wants to be known for being my child, he can do that. But right now he’s very much a minor, and we have vowed to make that decision for him."

She's as amazing as a mum as she is a popstar.

North West

Dream Kardashian will have an even more famous cousin to look up to as she grows up, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter, North.

Mum Kim has lived her life in the media spotlight and shares photos of North with her 89 million Instagram followers, prepping her for a celebrity life of her own.

Blue Ivy Carter

Blue Ivy is already bossing the world, having rocked up to the 2017 Wearable Art Gala in a £7000+ dress (coordinating with her ma, naturally) and featuring in Bey's Formation video, all before her sixth birthday.

The daughter of Jay Z and Beyonce, Blue is one seriously sassy young lady and dressed up with Bey and grandma Tina Knowles as Salt, Pepa and Spinderella for Halloween.

River Rose Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson is a very special pop star and her daughter River is an absolute beaut.

We're hoping River picks up her mum's singing talents and delivers huge pop bangers to the next generation.

Kelly has published a book about her daughter called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby.
