8 times Bey and Jay have sung about their relationship

Brace yourselves because a powerful force have reportedly entered the world in the form of the Knowles-Carter twins. How do we know this? Bey's dad, Mathew Knowles, tweeted it, ofc.
Was it Mathew's news to tell? What app did he use to create the congrats? Was it totally necessary for him to shout-out his Instagram handle in the process? The verdict is still out on these pressing questions but it's safe to say that the announcement created quite the, ahem, buzz in the Beyhive.

Beyoncé has reportedly given birth to her and Jay Z's twins!
Has Queen Bey welcomed twins into the world? Here's all the evidence...
Jay Z featuring Beyoncé - '03 Bonnie & Clyde
Rewind to 14 years ago (feel old yet?) and revel in the glory that was Jay Z and Bey's first collaboration. A musical mash-up of Tupac's 'Me and My Girlfriend', Mariah Carey's 'How Much' and Prince's 'If I Was Your Girlfriend', the song landed at No.2 in the UK charts and fuelled the 'are Bey and Jay an item?' fire.
Alluding to the strength of their new relationship ("What ever she lacks, I'm right over her shoulder / When I'm off track mami is keepin me focused / So let's, lock this down like it's supposed to be / The '03 Bonnie and Clyde, Hov' and B"), Hov also gave us a window into Bey's TV viewing habits ("Only time we don't speak is during Sex and the City"). Priceless information.
Beyonce - Signs feat. Missy Elliott
Keeping sweet and simple on the 2003 track for her Dangerously In Love album, Bey subtly references Jay with this lyric: “I was in love with a Sagittarius, he blew my mind / He also had a flip side too much like a Gemini"
Jay's a Sagittarius - that much we know - but we're still in the dark about what his Gemini side entails. Watch this space. Side note: who knew Bey was so into astrology? You learn something new with every lyric.
Jay Z - Beach Is Better
For a track that only runs for a mere 55 seconds, Jay still managed to namecheck his beau: "Girl why you never ready / For as long as you took / You better look like Halle Berry / Or Beyoncé"
Moral of the story: terrible time-keeping is totally permissible if you're Beyoncé Knowles. Good to know.
Beyonce - Mine feat. Drake
There's no solid evidence that this track is about Jay but let's assess the evidence, shall we?
Collaborating with Drake for the first time, Bey's moody 'Mine' sees the singer talking of relationship troubles, especially since the birth of a baby: "Been having conversations about breakups and separations / I'm not feeling like myself since the baby / Are we gonna even make it, Oooh / Cause if we are, we're taking this a little too far."
Blue Ivy was born a year earlier. Need we say anymore?
Jay Z - Public Service Announcement
Another day, another (sort of) gushy BK reference. Public Service Announcement is a track on Jay's eighth LP, The Black Album, and sees the rapper calling out a journalist for interpreting symbolism in his get-ups when there wasn't any.
But even when he's setting the record straight (sartorially speaking), Hova still finds time to remind everyone that he's with Queen B: “Flyer than a piece of paper bearin’ my name / Got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain.”
Jay Z - Picasso Baby
*DJ Khaled voice* Another one... "Sleeping every night next to Mona Lisa / The modern day version with better features."
Beyoncé - Hold Up
Beyoncé's critically acclaimed Lemonade made us all feel like we had a front row seat to the Knowles-Carter union, as Bey sang about infidelity, broken trust and new beginnings.
One of the most damning lyrics from the album comes courtesy of Hold Up and the shade is scorching: "Let's imagine for a moment that you never made a name for yourself / Or mastered wealth, they had you labeled as a king / Never made it out the cage, still out there movin' in them streets / Never had the baddest woman in the game up in your sheets / Would they be down to ride? / No, they used to hide from you, lie to you / But y'all know we were made for each other / So I find you and hold you down."
Fun fact: the man responsible for the hook ("hold up, they don't love you like I love you") is Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig. Together with Diplo, the two created the demo of the track that went on to rack up 102 million views on YouTube.
Beyoncé - Die With You
The sweetest lyrical love-in of the lot came earlier in 2K17 when Bey dropped a new video for 'Die With You' to commemorate her and Jay's nine-year wedding anniversary, featuring sweet-as home video snippets galore.
Originally released in 2015, the words of the ballad were more poignant than ever after the tumultuous nature of Lemonade: "Cause darling I wake up just to sleep with you / I open my eyes so I could see with you / and I live so I can die with you."
BK 4 JZ forever and ever and ever, please.
