5 celebs who found changing the way they ate changed the way they felt

What we consume has a huge effect on how we feel, just ask our resident GP Dr Radha: 'What we eat literally makes up our bodies and affects how we feel every day, so it's important to get to know the facts about healthy eating. Eating the right stuff can help you feel more energetic and helps maintain a healthy body and brain.'
From veganism to diabetes, these five stars have already changed the way they eat and, spoiler alert, feel great for it...
Ellie Goulding

We've all seen more than enough gym selfies on her Instagram to know that Ellie Goulding is a big fan of the healthy lifestyle. She doesn't just eat well to look good, but to help her keep herself in great mental shape, too.
Speaking to Look Magazine, the singer cited her change in diet as transforming her confidence levels: 'Before, I had a flat bum, no boobs and not much shape. I'm way more womanly now. I'm a bit more confident with my body. I put it down to eating amazingly well. Now my body's different, my face shape is different and my eyes are brighter, too.'
Ariana Grande

Committed vegan Ariana Grande thinks that her diet, free from all animal products, can have a positive impact on your state of mind.
‘I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-round happier person,’ she told The Mirror in 2014. ‘It is tricky dining out, but I just stick to what I know – veggies, fruit and salad – then when I get home I’ll have something else.’
Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato has spoken out about the mental health issues she has faced, which include Bipolar disorder and an eating disorder. The Body Say singer now uses exercise and a healthy diet as part of the process in protecting her mental health and maintaining a healthy relationship with food.
'I’ve been very vocal about my struggles with food,' she told The Cut earlier this year, 'and I think that the main thing for me is trying to make sure that I stay on top of eating healthy and exercising — doing things that make me feel good. That’s the most important thing about my recovery: Making sure I take care of myself, and talking to people that know me best.'

Este Haim

Este Haim has Type 1 Diabetes, which means she has to think very carefully about what she eats as part of the process of maintaining a healthy blood sugar level in her body. At Glastonbury 2014 she became seriously ill on-stage after forgetting to eat lunch, but she now puts her health and her diet first.
"There is a lot of different factors that go along to treating diabetes," she told Radio 1's Newsbeat, "it's exercise, it's diet and insulin. It definitely is not easy but it is manageable, you just have to make it a priority and make sure you stay healthy."

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has credited her love for animals as one of the reasons behind her vegan lifestyle (speaking to Jimmy Fallon, the singer said 'I realized these are intelligent animals') but, before that, the Malibu singer ditched lactose and gluten due to health reasons.
And, in case you were wondering, the singer feels worlds better for it, as proven by this tweet from 2K12.
