5 stars with cheeky secret social media accounts

It's been a momentous week for everyone's favourite Kiwi songstress, Lorde. For one thing, she's just released her unbelievably awesome second album, Melodrama. But, even bigger than that? She's been busted as the brains (and tastebuds) behind a (now deleted) Instagram account dedicated solely to the review and ranking of onion rings. Seriously, is there anything this lady can't do?
Lorde's culinary themed social media curating set us to thinking - how many more of our favourite celebs have secret social media profiles? The results of our investigations are below - happy sleuthing.
1. Lorde

Lorde - Green Light (Radio 1's Big Weekend 2017)
Performing live on the Main Stage on Saturday
We count ourselves as huge Lorde fans, but we're still not quite sure we would have been eagle eyed enough to spot her clandesitine onion ring review account, "onionringsworldwide.” New Zealand website Newshub, however, noted the account and that it was followed by Lorde and many in her closest circle. The locations and dates of the onion rings on trial also corresponded exactly with the pop star's whereabouts.
Soon after they posted their findings, the account mysteriously disappeared...
This week, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Green Light singer confessed: “I have to explain first. Here’s the thing… I sort of naively didn’t realize it would be a thing that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places. I just… Ah! God, it’s me! It’s me.”
One thing's for sure, it makes us want to be Lorde's BFF even more. After all, the best mates are the ones with the best onion rings...
2. Adele

Ok, so we love following Adele’s official Twitter account, which we never miss out on her giving love to Stormzy or announcing she’s eating the best burrito she’s ever had. But, at a recent concert in Brisbane, the Hello singer revealed she also has a “secret account” which her management don’t know about. (Well, they do now.)
Last year Adele told the BBC that a few prior episodes of sliiiiiightly less than sober tweeting had led to her team deciding they would need to sign off all her tweets. “I mean I'm not a drinker any more, but when Twitter first came out I was, like, drunk tweeting, and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times,” she said. “So my management decided that you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone, but they're all my tweets. No-one writes my tweets. They just post them for me. So, yeah, that's very, very true."
We’re desperate to find Adele’s secret account – we imagine reading it would basically be like being on a night out with her. And that’s our dream, tbh. So if anyone can track her down, let us know…
3. Drake
Sleuthing Snapchat fans have been convinced that Drake has a secret Snapchat name for ages now. But DJ Khaled seemed to give the game away in an interview with a Los Angeles radio station when he claimed to follow Drake on the social media network.
So now, it's one of the biggest mysteries of our time. What's in the Bermuda triangle? Why does toast always fall butter side down? And just WHAT is Drake's Snapchat name?
4. Kim Kardashian
She may have a cool 101m followers on Instagram, but for a long time the world thought that Kim Kardashian West just didn't DO Snapchat. That is, until, she featured in a friend's story in 2015 revealing that, not only did she have a secret profile, but that she used it "to lurk and stalk people." So really, Kim K is just like us, right? The Reality TV star has since made her Snapchat public.
5. Prince Harry
Prince Harry has been extremely private about his relationship with American actress Meghan Markle - and while she has an Instagram profile, the official line is that he doesn't do social media. But not so fast, because a number of sources report that he does actually have a secret account under a pseudonym, on which he follows only close friends, family, select charities...and Ms Markle.
While we'd love to be able to follow the beautiful couple's every selfie, we don't think this is one account we'll be getting a look at any time soon. There's no word if Prince William and Kate Middleton, who recently came into the Radio 1 studios to talk about mental health (amazing!), also have private social media accounts on the sly.
