Don't talk to ME about the ruddy sofa.

I refer to my earlier post about wakin' up on mine at 3am, colder than a penguin's chuff an' wit the last of me cocoa down me front.

Actually that's a fib. Can't face cocoa at the minute, couldn't even face a toffee-nut latte yesterday so I'd say this is serious, possibly terminal.

Aw but bless. Am rememberin' similar times (in more comfortable conditions) on the sofa with the small GD. She and I used to eyeball each other, burpin' an' hiccupin' and gurglin' all sorts a rubbish.

I keep tellin' 'er stop it, mind. She's a bit heavy now she's nearly 30.

Actually I also remember watching and feeling with fascination, lying on me back on the sofa, before she burst into me life, roarin' an' hollerin' with the klaxon an' the chain-saw, my burgeoning bump morphin' around like a lava-lamp as she did 'er spectacular triple-salkos within.

Well, ok. She wasn't hollerin'. She just looked very, very vexed an' threatenin'.

And who can blame her. Hohohohoho..

A very lovely clear crisp (alright its freezin) here in Sandwedge. Confined to my sofa today, not feeling too good,so had to take the day off work (shame) couldnt face the 2 mile cycle in the cold and pitch black, so I am watching Christmas cartoons with the little girl who has a little curl, who keeps launchin herself at me shoutin GETCHA!! Ahhhhhh the joys of a two year old, s'great.

Rips: years ago, my boss had dinner with Gerald Ratner and his wife - was even picked up by the driver of Gerald's Bentley. And then, of course, Gerry boy told a VERY dodgy joke and found himself sweeping the floor at his local hamburger joint! NOT a good move!

Trish: stay nice and warm and try to have a wee rest - not easy with a two year old to contend with!

Just got back to the office from my Son's Christmas play (The Snowman).
It was brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
He remembered every word, said them loud and clear and even found time to keep looking at me and smiling.
Every child there put on a fanatastic show which i'd have thought well beyond their years.

I was fairly choked up by the end, then we walked outside and it was snowing.

Could it get any better?

No! I slipped on patch of ice stright on to my backside....HAHA!

Oh well.

Daughters play at 1:00 and then some weeping I think.

The good news iz firstly a ave found some part time work so that'll keep me ticking over - just abit worried about when it goes quiet after crimbo but am noot gonna let it ruin me crimbo!!!!!!!!
Plus yesterdee a 'ad a really weird VERY GOOD dee!!!!!!!!!
Strange 'ow things beyond yer control.... sort of 'appen!!!!!!

Yesterdee firstly a taked ter the agency & cleared the air with them. They ave told me they still want me working for them az ave done nowt wrong & they will fond me other work - just being this time of year it's abot difficult!!!!
Secondly... a took me car in for reapir az apparently me 'ead gasket 'ad blown & me brakes servo unit waz noot op!!!!!
All waz goona cost 400 quid butta found a garage that would do it for 225!!!!!!
Dropped me car & goot a call at 1pm.... it waz only a blocked water pipe & 'ole in me servo air line... total cost 30 quidda!!!!!!!!!!@!@!@!!!!!!
Then later a just casually popped inter me local ton ter see about me crimbo shopping.... expecting ter noot be able ter buy from me local town & usually ave ter go upter Birkenhead or Liverpool main shopping centres.... guess what!!!!!!?
A found all a needed in less than 'alf an 'our all in me local town & all waz perfect for what a wanted ter buy/ 'ad on me mind and on special offer - so a waz able ter buy even more than a planned ter..... and get some birthdee pressies at the same teeem for someone in Jan who's name a can't mention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact a went abit mad... but it's crimbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then if that weren't enough....... me shares went up!!!!!!!!

And a met a frind last neet who ave noot seen for 7 weeks and we wnet the cinema!!!!!
On entering the cinema..... guess who's on the til.... the really friendly lad who used ter be me next door neighbour when a owned me ouse with me ex before it all went ape!!!!!!!
Were talkin' 15 miles away ere.... 'e'd been moved there az 'e normally works in 'is local cinema but az it's crimbo 'e agreed ter move ter the cinema near where a now live.... and guess what?????

Hello all

I joined the blog earlier this year and had a happy couple of months dipping in and out. Then a new job started and I never seemed to have enough hours in the day to check out what was happening here. Now, for various reasons, work is completely dead and I sit at my desk with nowt to do, so naturally I find myself drifting back here where it is warm and cosy!

Glad to read that you all (or majority) are well and happy and was thrilled that so many of you are able to go to the O2 on the 23rd! You will have such a fab time.

I have been smiling over the advent calendar guesses. I have a phobia about certain reptiles who hop around ponds and was horrified to open advent calendar window on 4 December to find one of those with a rucksack on. What is Christmassy about that??? THEN, on 11 December, there was another one - this time with a football. Am now too scared so no window's have been opened since. Most people get a nice robin, snowman or stocking - I get the Christmas frog. Ho hum

There is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a
good home for him. This alone is amazing.If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell.

Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the
smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.As you stand and watch these two horses, you'll see
that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

I'm with you on the real Christmas message - The daughter's was great and a proper nativity where they mentioned God and everthing!
It also featured a cast of every religion you can think of - all joining in singing and having fun....and we are allowed to photo and video it.
My kids also join in helping to celebrate the other faiths and every one is happy for it to be that way....

That the LM did well at 'is nativity play that is, not that yous fell on your bum. Am THRILLED about that.

What IS it that's so absolutely side-splittingly, incontinence-inducingly hilarious about somebody fallin' over?

An' spookily, I coulda showed yous me huge bruise to the right buttock I sustained upon my return from Edinburgh. Ow ow ow.

So there I was, see, in a right bad mood, drivin' down the M8 amidst wall-to-wall lorries, a foggy M74 then the scaldy M6, when I get a call from Renee, askin' me to pick up one a them Whatsinames, you know, thingybobs, what they called... 'Haggis.' Says I. Worryingly. (Serves me right for makin' a haggis lasagne last year which, though I say it meself, was delish.) Anyway, cursing gently an' droolin' a bit, I realised there's a service station at the top of the M6 that sells all that souveniry stuff, I'll get it there. Grrrrr grrrumph.

So off the road I get, pull in to the shop area, right grumpy, climb out the car, grrr snort dribble... and snootily and bad-temperedly minced into the shop. Except there was a man-trap just outside the door in the form of a right slippy patch, and just as a gang a cheeky young lads emerged, fags an' football rosettes in hand, SPLAT. Down I go. But it wasn't just Down. I did the full-on comedy runnin' on the spot biddybiddybiddybiddybong splat routine, you know, like on Tom&Jerry. How very embarrassing. And what was worse was all these people ran over to me aid to haul me up, like I was an aul biddy. Ah NO.

So can I apologise to the nice young man who tried particularly hard to resuscitate me, who thought I was havin' an asthma attack when I was, in fact, laffin', I didn't want to be rude or anytin', it's just I knew very well what day it was, didn't want to blow me cheeks out and tell 'im how many fingers 'e was 'oldin' up. I was only returnin' the compliment by 'oldin' two of me own up, sunshine. I'm really grateful, honest.

Any road up yous should see this bruise. Or maybe not....

When a first opened it, a thought it might be a letter containing the threat of a court order ter stay away from R2.... but on reading deep inter the letter.... am most 'appy ter say.... it's the exact opposite!!!!
But when a say the exact opposite.... noot exactly the exact opposite.... but far more in the direction away from the threat of a court order!!!!!!!
Az for the rest am keeping stum!!!!!!
