CLP, can I say how much I admire your unfailing sense of how good life is and how much we should all enjoy every minute of it.

Bogged down in a workplace which is, and has been for some time, on the verge of collapse, it's sometimes difficult to imagine that there are people out there with an enthusiasm for life and making the most of it.

I think you're right Bond. It's like the office where I had the interview yesterday. I mean, I was led from reception, through an office to a meeting room, and the feeling in that one office was so different to where I work, I can't describe the atmosphere but just totally different.

Chris obviously loves his job, and the team, and I think that, in part makes him who he is and enables to show such an enthusiasm for life.

Hi AF, office atmosphere plays a huge part in ones job. I recently turned a job down as the atmosphere in the office was worst than a morgue, not to mention the staff and boss didn't seem too pleasant......

Me battery is low, is all. But only I can re-charge them. So am off to see my lovely friend in the Lakes tomorrow for a bit of a larf and a bit of a moan and a nice cuppa tea in the Old Biddy Tea Rooms in Morecambe, then off to the Winter Gardens to check out a completely barking mad idea we've had for an exhibition.

If the bracing Morecambe monsoon doesn't blow the cobwebs off, nowt will.

Ooh doesn't it make a difference when you love what you do! I did various admin jobs for years but when we moved down here I was granted leave as mr jumpy finally had a "proper" job. So I went and worked in a greengrocers shop and loved every minute of it! Once the bump got too heavy to stand up for a 6 hour stint I got shifted to desk duties but by then I didn't hate admin with such a passion anymore :)

Now I'm a full time mum and I have to say I am enjoying my job! Even with the sleepless nights (jospots - would you swap them for anything?! the baby that is, not the sleepless nights....)

Looking forward to the BIG FRIDAY SHOW next week!

Ok. The Stinky One needs distracting so we are going for a drive, over the hills and far away to the shops. Hurrah!

Oh jumpy, those were the days when the little ones can be distracted by a drive to the shops! My teens are a lot more high maintenance. I loved my time as a full time mum though, for sure.

Right now I rather fancy the idea of the lifestyle of a 50s housewife, only with every labour saving device available, and a salary to boot. I'd do lots of good deeds and voluntary work, honest.

I agree Chris POSITIVE Attitude is key to getting the most out of your life. Unfortunately I tend to look at the other side of things - thinking of the reality of things rather than the possibility. What helps me is being silly/childish i.e. making snowmen, snow angels and snowball fights! I must suffer ever so slightly from SAD which is helped by Snow due to the sunlight reflecting back - my thyroid tabs and circulation tabs also help!

jospots, it's amazing how early they can start. My youngest had her first real tantrum at 16 months, and twelve years later she still likes a good shout, stamp and slam. Twas a bit of a shock as the first one was good as gold. Still, life is never dull and on a good day she can be the funniest, most generous person I know.

Hi Dragon, the weather has been really mild for the last 2 days, but it's supposed to drop into the 20s tonight and stay there for the next week. Oh and we're supposed to get some snow..... Boston....happy days there visiting the pubs and eateries..... It is one place I would not drive though. dook - ice skate!

went with the school when i was 15 and took to it like the proverbial duck to water. then a couple of christmasses ago, took mr diva to kew gardens for a skating session at dusk in front of the temperate house. beautiful. absolutely stunning. and that was just me!!

let's just say i had a 60 minute love affair with the wooden barrier and was very stiff for days afterwards!

mr diva, in the meantime, whooshed round the rink like robin coussins on e numbers!!
