Afternoon CLP.

Ah, photo shoots. I remember them sort of vaguely. Good fun and less hard work than promo girling.

Still do the odd sitting now and again for a proper bonio fido artist. Generally not as quick as a photo shoot, speshially when he's doing oils. (I'm no oil painting, oh, wait, actually I am!).

Enjoy reading blog 322. Think it may make you chuckle.

me and Mr bp did photo session a couple of weeks ago in warehouse in London - hair and make-up for both as well! other then being asked if I fancy wine at 11 in the morning (a bit early for me) it was great fun and got one of my fella looking like a film star (well I think so)

won't say how much the pictures cost though - ouch - did get them on disc and have plans to turn one into the wedding invite!

still lots to do - will be sat at my desk for a few hours yet

Oh My Goodness! Just read yesterdays - todays blog.. There are too many hormones flying around in here! Monitor is now covered in sweet tea following a major fit of the giggles!

It made my day much brighter after the deluge of water that is falling in the welsh valleys!!

Super BP - I had some fancy phots a few years ago - nearly had a heart attack when we saw the final bill, but they are soooo good we HAD to buy them! Oh the indulgence...But we still love them 4 years later.

Was at housing-with-support complexes today, asking older people what they would like to do. Mostly women, (are all the men dead?),they all wanted to learn how to use computers and get the most out of their mobile phones! Bless.

I've been out all day and my interview at the glasshouse yesterday has meant I've got an absence note for you to make up for my missing presence - not that you lot would have noticed in any case. I suspect I am one of the boring ones that JenEwan is on about. Sorry not an interesting day by day to blog about.

Sex and older people: Why not? I'm a (little bit) older person and have a male companion for outings, conversation and fun times in Newcastle, and a male friend for other stuff!!

I have two or three signed ones of TPs and enjoyed meeting him - I agree it is a shame that someone like him who brings such pleasure to many is struck down early.

We also have Wincanton nearby which is twinned with Ankh Morpork in reality and hosts events twice a year.

Alzheimers is awful. But, I've decided that I would rather suffer from that than just get physically old. My Gran and Aunt suffered (and died) from Alzheimers in nursing homes. My mother just got physically older, with her mind intact. That was so much worse.

Have now decided if I have to die (and I might not folks) I want to go with Alzheimers. You don't have a clue what's happening (after the initial awful time) and my Aunt had quite a nice time at the nursing home.

I want to go out with a bang - a jazz band playing on top of the hearse and a party for all my friends and family. Way to go!!!!

Don't agree re Alzheimers.

I found it soul destroying to sit with my grandfather and have him forget who I was halfway through a conversation.

On the other hand there is not a lot of dignity left one the body has decided that enough is enough, especially if the mind is still intact.

Better to go out in a blaze of glory. Heart attack in a lap dancing club with a large Scotch in one hand and a Cuban cigar in the other maybe?

I have witnessed my partners grand parents both dying last year and my frandad this year and there is no eay way of going - each time was hard for the family and although it was expected it was still ghard to lose a loved one - even when they have been 'lost' for years before they go.

I'm now short a grandad as I have lost all of mine - anyone out there that can help?

I enjoy spending time with them and hearing stories - if you have any stories to share I would love to hear them,

with my Nanna - when she turned 80 - we got as many stories from her as possible as it is family history!

Hello again

Forgot totally that I was asking about school reunions earlier. The reason behind it was that for the first time I have been asked to one. With plenty of time for a diet first thankfully.

I was bullied too for the first few years at school. I was painfully shy and this got mistaken for being stand-offish and I was called a 'snob'.

From 13 onwards though they found someone else to pick on and I had a great time after that. Sixth form particularly was a blast, loved it.

I fancy facing this people actually so I may just go along. The girl that became my best friend at school contacted me via fb, so with her there too it will be great I think.

Now hang on just one hot diggity darn minute!

Last time I looked we were talking about 3 top 'quality time' people. I send in my rather trivial post only to find we have moved onto Alzheimers, loss of dignity and death.

I lost all of my grandparents by the time I was 7. My pappy on my dads side I never knew as he died when my dad was very young. I lost an auntie to Parkinsons, which was really quite heart breaking. When she retired all she wanted to do was walk her dog and paint more wonderful pictures. Within a week of retiring the dog died, and she was diagnosed with Parknsons which mde her shake so much she never picked up a paintbrush again. She will always be Laughing Lady to me though.

I have been lucky to not have anyone close to me be a sufferer of Alzheimers, but I am fairly certain that it is not an easy way out. For me, well I hope to go in my sleep in the arms of the man I love. I want Don't fear the Reaper and November rain played at my funeral and I want my coffin to be made out of cardboard so friends and family and write on it. Also I want the coffin to be printed in leopard print. Then I want half my ashes turned into a diamond, and the other half used to plant an Oak tree that I have grown from an acorn. I'm nothing if not prepared!

I've been a bit distracted with Youtube ...

I've lost all my grandparents now most lived until their 70/80s but all went extremely fast including my own dad who had a heart attack and according to my mum had gone before they put him in the ambulance but as an ex fireman what a way to go the road had two ambulances, a fire engine and the paramedic so he went out in style.

So I'm definitely short a few grandparents so if any are available I'd say yes please as they had such interesting lives.

I've not tracked down the original diet coke windowcleaner.... hmmm must try harder

I think dietcoke windowcleaner is my younger male friend, actually!!!!

SB: Young people dying is so sad. A few years ago a friend of my youngest died (he was 14). The church service was terribly sad - too many young people in the church grieving.

When old people die, it's not so bad - at least they had a life (however they dealt with it).
