Here's what happened when Charlie Sloth invited the Loose Women to The 8th

23 January 2018

Last night marked a major moment for Slothland since its inception in 2017: the Loose Women paid a visit.

Yup, after playing host to the likes of Cardi B, Huw Edwards and Dynamo, The People's Prince thought it was high time he had Denise van Outen, Andrea McLean and Stacey Solomon swing by his gaffe and serve up some of that classic Loose Women advice.

What kinds of topics were tackled, you ask? They explored the realities of friends with benefits, pondered whether size truly mattered and embarked on a rather explicit game of Would You Rather. Y'know, just the usual. Here's how it all went down...

They kicked off proceedings with a questionable game of Would You Rather...

There's an exhaustive list of things we'd rather do before committing to having Charlie's tush tattooed to our face but this game of Would You Rather had us questioning everything. We don't even want to get into it, TBH. Fast forward the episode to 11 minutes in for the good (and gory) stuff.

Then Charlie enlisted the Loose Women to do what they do best: problem solving

Can men and women just be friends? The Loose Women crew discuss!

Charlie and the girls try to solve an age old question.

There's no issue too big or too small for the Loose Women to take on, so Charlie put their problem solving tekkers to the test with some caller questions. First up: can men and women ever be just friends and nothing more? Denise stepped up to the plate...

Normally if you’re friends with someone of the opposite sex, it’s because you find something about their personality quite attractive. So watch this space, Charlie…
Denise van Outen

"I do think that at some point during that friendship there would be a moment - even if its just a fleeting moment - where they would think ‘hmm, I would have a go’. I think, at some point, it would cross their mind… and then they get past that. Normally if you’re friends with someone of the opposite sex, it’s because you find something about their personality quite attractive. So watch this space, Charlie…"

Over to Andrea: "I think on the whole they can but I agree with Denise: 90% of the time there’s one of you with a glint in the eye."

You weren't expecting such coherent advice on The 8th, were you? Full of surprises, our Charlie.

Before finishing off their visit to Slothland with some Hip Hop Karaoke

Hip Hop Karaoke with Loose Women

Loose Women Denise Van Outen, Andrea McClean and Stacey Solomon show their vocal skills.

We can't say we're totally onboard with Denise's critique of Ramz's Barking (in short: she wasn't a fan) but we are fully down for Andrea's spin on the track. The daytime telly aficionados also took on Nelly and Kelly's classic, Dilemma, and (spoiler alert) smashed it. Not that we're at all surprised by the A-grade vocal performance: Denise is a West End regular and Stacey bagged third place in the 2009 X Factor (she was pipped to the post by Olly Murs and Joe McElderry).

Thanks for swinging by, ladies. We hope you enjoyed your stay.
