BBC Arts Live

BBC Arts hosted extensive online coverage of the 2014 Edinburgh festivals with performance, events, interviews, behind-the-scenes access, opinion and fun.

From Edinburgh International Festival we showcased the National Theatre of Scotland’s epic historical trilogy, The James Plays; Inala, the major new dance work from choreographer Mark Baldwin, featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo; as well as taking you behind the scenes of Brett Bailey’s thought-provoking work Exhibit B, inspired by the human zoos and ethnographic displays of the colonial period.

From the Fringe, BBC Arts Online collaborated with HiBrow Productions to bring you three new theatre pieces featuring young directors and casts, plus Alison Jackson's operatic collaboration with Richard Thomas - La Trashiata.

There was extensive coverage from the rest of the Fringe, as well as the Book and Arts Festivals plus music, stars and much more from the BBC venue at Potterrow.
