Howl has got some inspiration from some unusual cinema heavyweights.
Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil has revealed the secrets of the band's eye-popping new video, Howl.
Simon told Adele Roberts (standing in for Clara Amfo on Radio 1 this week) how his love for David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick inspired their latest clip.

Howl has got some inspiration from some unusual cinema heavyweights.
"I watched a lot David Lynch at the start of this year and i'm a big Kubrick fan," says Simon.
"The song Howl is quite a playful song and I felt we could do something quite freaky with the video.
"I've always wanted to dress up as a geisha and it's probably the only opportunity i'll ever get to do so.
"Any bonkers idea we had, we went for it, and we're really glad how it turned out."
In September, Biffy Clyro will be one of the big name stars performing as part of Radio 1's Live Lounge month - and one aspect of their visit already has him worried.
"We quite like the intimacy of the Live Lounge. We like embracing both sides of our band, the noisy side and the delicate, intimate, fragile side," he says.
"We're not scared about that aspect, the toughest thing is picking a cover. It's always important."
Considering how good their previous Live Lounge covers of Umbrella, Fight For This Love, We Built This City, Killing In The Name, Diane Young and Love Sex Magic are, they've certainly set the bar high.
