Student explains leaving Ireland to have two abortions
Niamh (not her real name) is a student who left Ireland twice in the past year to have her pregnancies terminated, after her contraception failed.
Speaking to Emma Barnett, ‘Niamh’ explained that she didn’t tell her family on the second occasion, as she believed it would jeopardise her relationship with her mother.
She also told 5 live that the changing views on abortion in Ireland are due to a ‘generational thing’.
This clip is originally from the Emma Barnett Show on Tuesday 30 January 2018.
