'We found over 200 of grandad's wartime letters to grandma'
In 1941, Douglas Lowe and Marjorie Suggitt met in a dance hall in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire.
The pair began a relationship and spent the whole of World War Two corresponding with each other and married shortly after the war ended.
Their granddaughter, Louise Newson, discovered over 200 of the letters in the attic after Marjorie's death in 2012.
"They were a lovely, lovely couple," Louise told Radio 5 Live, "they very much were in love".
One of the letters sent by Douglas has been included in the Imperial War Museum's 'letters to loved ones' project.
