Teaching assistant Emma: 'I've been punched, kicked and spat at’

Emma, a special educational needs teaching assistant has told 5 live Breakfast she faces regular violence from pupils in the classroom:

“There are these wonderful moments where you know that you’re helping and doing a good job and making a difference and they’re great… but they’re not as frequent as the times you are hurt and you’re exhausted.”
