
Will these driverless cars roam the streets by 2019?
For the first time ever, a driverless car has been tested among the public in the UK. The two seater autonomous electric vehicle drove around in the pedestrianised zone near Milton Keynes train station. The trial could pave the way for self-driving commuter vehicles in cities as soon as 2019.
Neil Fulston from Catapult Transport Systems, one of the organisations that developed the car, told 5 Live it was “realistic” to suggest driverless cars would be seen on UK streets in just over two years’ time.
