Political satire in US elections
In 1999 Jon Stewart became host of The Daily Show.
Using the bedlam of the 2000 presidential election, he revolutionised the programme and created a new genre of political comedy.
The programme’s executive producer Rory Albanese, describes how Stewart changed the satirical landscape.
