How a viral dancing video led to double family reunion
When care home worker Lee Holdroyd noticed resident Pat was a bit upset and restless he asked her to dance to the Monkees's hit 'Daydream Believer' to cheer her up.
The heart-warming footage of their dance was uploaded to Wansbeck Care Home’s Facebook page where it has been seen by thousands of people, including Lee and Pat’s respective estranged brothers, prompting two family reunions.
Speaking to 5 live’s Phil Williams, Lee said he knew Pat “loves music” so offering her a dance would help improve her mood.
He continued to explain how he "cried" after his brother got in contact after years of familial dischord to say how "proud" he was.
