Are we keeping too much food in the fridge?

Cher Loh, who is from the Good Housekeeping Institute's Cookery School, has told 5 live foods like bread get a "stale texture and flavour" if they are left in the fridge, and tomatoes "love the heat" so are better off left at room temperature.
Onions, garlic and even coffee are also best left out of the refrigerator.
