Thousands of Bakewell puddings on their way to Japan
A bakery in Derbyshire has been working overtime to fulfil an order for nearly 15,000 Bakewell puddings for an event on the other side of the world.
Bloomers Craft Bakery received the order for the annual British Food Festival in Japan.
Richard Nealon who owns the business said they had originally planned to transport the ingredients to the festival and bake the puddings there, but when they saw the size of the order they realised it was "impossible" to do.
Instead, staff have been baking, freezing and packing the puddings at a rate of more than 1,000 a day.
