Former Pension Protection Fund chief: Sir Philip Green should 'write a cheque'
The Chair of the Institute of Directors and former Chair of the Pension Protection Fund, Lady Judge, has said Sir Philip Green should “write a cheque” to cover the BHS pension deficit.
Sir Philip sold BHS last year, with a £571m pension deficit. A joint report from the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee and the Work and Pensions Committee last month suggested his failure to resolve the deficit was a major factor in the company’s demise.
Sir Philip vowed to MPs in June that he would sort out the pensions "mess".
