Paul Lambert: John Stones and Gerard Pique 'really similar'

Everton centre-back and Manchester City target John Stones is a “really similar” player to Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, says former Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert.

Pique boasts an impressive CV having won the World Cup with Spain and the Champions League on three occasions with club Barcelona.

England international Stones has been linked with a £50m transfer to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City this summer.

Champions League winner Lambert said: "I can see Guardiola looking at him and thinking you're really similar to Gerard Pique".
