
Why are Britons opting to holiday more in the UK?
UK tourism could be getting a boost by Britons taking a vacation at home and abandoning foreign travel.
Tourism boards across the UK are apparently reporting record-breaking numbers of bookings and inquiries over the past few weeks.
Kate Stinchcombe-Gillies who is an independent travel expert told 5 live Daily’s Sam Walker, that this is down to a weaker exchange rate due to Brexit and also recent terror attacks in France, Turkey and Tunisia.
“The pound is worth a lot less, your pound is worth about 10% less than it was a month ago.”
