5 live’s Anna Foster: Why it’s time to talk about miscarriage
Drive presenter Anna Foster has spoken out for the first time about the “painful experience” suffering two miscarriages.
Anna said she was able "to talk about it now” after having “two lovely children,” but she wanted to highlight the fact that few people talk openly about the complications of pregnancy.
“Nobody really talks about miscarriage and pregnancy loss and stillbirth and all of the things that can go wrong,” she said.
Anna said she hoped her 5 Life programme, which looks into pregnancy issues and the scientific research which could help, would bring “hope and optimism” to people.
The first episode of 5 Life will be broadcast on Sunday at 24 July at 19:00 GMT.
