Northern Ireland boss wants Wales in Euro 2016 last 16

Northern Ireland progressing to the last 16 at their first European Championship is “a little bit surreal”, says manager Michael O’Neill.

O’Neill’s side lost 1-0 to Germany but qualify for the knockout stages as one of the four best third-placed teams after Turkey beat the Czech Republic later on Tuesday.

Northern Ireland will face France or Wales and the 46-year-old said: “If I picked a team that I think we had the best chance of getting past, it would have to be Wales."
