Neville: Rashford unlikely to make final England Euros squad
Former England defender Phil Neville says he doesn’t expect Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to make England’s final Euro 2016 squad.
The 18-year-old forward has been named by Roy Hodgson in the provisional 26-man squad, but Neville says he thinks it’s unlikely Rashford will make the final 23-man party for the tournament in France.
“I could think he could miss out purely on the basis that we have some really good strikers,” he said.
“What I would say is that in 1998 I didn’t think Michael Owen was going to go to the World Cup and you just never know,” Neville added.
