Dimitri Payet 'is up there with Luca Modric’

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has said that Hammers midfielder Dimitri Payet is one of the best players he’s ever coached.

The former Croatia head coach, who has worked with Luca Modric, believes the 28-year-old Frenchman is as good as the Real Madrid star.

Payet made the move from Olympic Marseille to West Ham for "an eight-figure" fee in June 2015.

A virtuoso performance from the midfielder was at the heart of West Ham’s 5-1 demolition of Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fifth round.
