Ashton: Lancaster left me 'on the edge looking in'

Saracens wing Chris Ashton believes he could never force his way into Stuart Lancaster's England plans, no matter how well he played or trained.

Ashton was recalled to the England squad by new head coach Eddie Jones and is confident the new regime will be 'ideal' for his style of play. He said: "With Eddie coming in it will hopefully give me a new lease of life. I've read he really wants to get his wingers involved and that can only help my game."
