Wayne Rooney scored twice and set up Jesse Lingard for the other but goals from Georginio Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dummett ensured the points were shared.

Prior to Tuesday, goal-shy Newcastle had not scored since 19 December.

It was the first time Manchester United have dropped points having held a two-goal lead since their 5-3 defeat at Leicester in September 2014.
