
Ian Marshall's 'magic' mullett
The former Oldham Athletic, Ipswich Town and Leicester City player talks about the effect his famous haircut had on his game. Ian recalls that after he had it cut at Ipswich he then had his longest spell as a forward without scoring a goal. As he was eating the same food and following the same training routine Ian could only identify this loss of hair as the reason behind his loss of form in front of goal, and he even asked his hairdresser for hair extensions in order to rectify this. It was only once Ian’s hair grew back that he started scoring again.
