Jermaine Jenas: "I wanted to join Arsenal"
The former Spurs midfielder tells Danny and Lynsey Hipgrave about his deep dark footballing guilty secret. Jermaine reveals that when he was about to leave Newcastle he wanted to join Arsenal. This was because he felt that Arsène Wenger was a manager who could propel him into becoming the player he wanted to be. Jermaine thinks that the supposed transfer fee involved dissuaded the Arsenal manager, and the midfielder eventually signed for their North London rivals
