Steve Davis on Jimmy White, Alex Higgins and Stephen Lee
Snooker player Steve Davis says he thinks Jimmy 'Whirlwind' White would have won ten World Championships without his crack cocaine addiction.
While speaking about snooker's risk takers Davis said: "I wasn't living in Jimmy's circles to know that perhaps we weren't getting the best of Jimmy."
"I was aware Alex Higgins would be at the table and perhaps he'd be the worse the wear for drink. He had a lot of honey at one stage because apparently it's supposed to be healthy for you. He was mixing it with his beer. It looked a bit like a lava lamp," he said.
"The gambling story with Stephen Lee is another story entirely. That was somebody who didn't think they were going to get caught," he added.
