Hereford's Berto, AKA Rob Ashman, is a professional puppeteer in everyday life - but he is also a songwriter, albeit under-the-radar.
However, he is now pushing 50 and thinks it's about time that changed.
His band is made up of a who's-who on the local scene - including drum tutor Pedro Brown and Paul Cobbold on bass, who used to be one of the main sound engineers at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth.

22 May - 1 June: HowTheLightGetsIn, Hay-on-Wye

Last year they staged 450 events with 180 speakers and 250 bands across 6 stages over 10 days.
The world's largest philosophy and music festival is back in Hay with the thought-provoking debates, infectiously danceable music and parties that you’ve come to expect.
BBC Introducing's Danni Hunt catches up with the organisers.

Make Some Noise!

A Herefordshire village says if their local pub loses its license, there'll be nothing left to bring the community together.
The Yew Tree Inn, at Preston-on-Wye, has been served a notice by the council because of complaints about the noise.
But the locals, who drink there, say the pub is a place to socialise and any noise is merely part of village life.
Herefordshire Council have sent us a statement.
It partially reads: "It's alleged that the Yew Tree Inn has continually broken the law by allowing music to be played up until 1am on at least 24 occasions since November 2012, when they are not licensed to do so. Launching a review by the authority is considered to be a last resort but we were put in a position where they was little alternative. It will now be for the Council's Regulatory Sub-Committee to decide what action, if any should be taken in relation to the licence."

Elgar

Has Worcestershire got it's very own Banksy?
Reminiscent of the famous street artist, paintings of Sir Edward Elgar have randomly appeared at a bus stop in Malvern.
Our reporter Julia Leonard has been along to Wells Road in Malvern to have a look at the portrait-like pictures that have been put up at the bus stop.

BBC Introducing in Ledbury

Ledbury's Market Theatre is run by a team of volunteers, and when we rolled up on Sunday 2 March for our second recording roadshow at this particular venue, Herefordshire's John Challis from Only Fools & Horses had been in the spotlight only the night before.
So throughout the whole of March and spilling into April, we're bringing you the bands and musicians that we recorded at the theatre, along with the massive gathering of festival organisers who turned up to talk about their summer events.

The BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass

In the final part of our current BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass series, tonight we talk about making the most out of online.
Alex Hoffman from Noisey, David Adams from Soundcloud and Helienne Lindvall of The Guardian's blog 'Plugged In' advise unsigned and emerging artists on the best ways to get noticed on the web.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.
None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.
Doors open at 2pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 6pm.
