Matt Lewis is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter from Hay-on-Wye who, when not making music, works in a garden centre as a sales assistant.
He's been playing music since he was seven-years-ago but after attending a popular music course at the University of Glamorgan a couple of years ago, began writing his own melodies with a comical look at life.

BBC Introducing in Kington

For the last two years we've been taking the BBC Introducing Recording Roadshow out-and-about - and this was the last town in Herefordshire we've not yet visited.
When we rolled up at the Oxford Arms we were promised the biggest storm of the decade - which has been a general theme of our recording sessions this year - but luckily it came to nothing!
BBC Introducing recording session

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 24 November at Tower Studios in Pershore and features the five acts we plan to broadcast throughout December.
It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.
None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
Doors open at 6pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 10pm.

Answer Back

A Malvern band has clocked up more than 35,000 views on YouTube for their new anti-bullying single.
The video to Never Alone by Answer Back was originally meant to be handed in as a university dissertation - but instead has ended up with the group representing many schools and colleges in their anti-bullying campaign.

UB40

One of the founding members of UB40 has quit the band after 33 years.
Astro, who's from Worcestershire, says he left because he didn't like the direction the band was going in - changing their style from reggae to country music.
Speaking exclusively to BBC Hereford and Worcester, just 15 minutes after the band was told of his decision, Astro says it was time for him to move on.

The BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over BBC Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.
On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's Shaun Williams, Malvern's 5parks, Bromyard's Tenz, Droitwich's Case Closed and Bewdley's Barbarix.
Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's Daniel & The Scandals, Kidderminster's Lauren Wright and man-of-many-Worcester-bands Pete Adams.
We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.
We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.
This week, we hear from Laura-May Coope - who's a brand manager for the BBC. She explains how bands could adopt some of her marketing expertise to gain fans.
