Hereford's Bren Haze has recently returned back to the city after spending two years living in Austria.

He classes himself as an acoustic/rock guitarist who likes to mix up mellow tracks and then throw in the edgy sounds of Slash and Pink Floyd.

When he came back to the UK, he hadn't picked up a guitar in so long - he felt any prospects of getting a band back together were long gone - so instead he plays TWO guitars during his live shows!

BBC Introducing in Kington

BBC Introducing in Kington
It's one of the least populated towns in Herefordshire (according to the 2001 census it had a population of 2,597) yet has produced gems like Ellie Goulding and Mike Oldfield - who wrote his album Hergest Ridge on, errrr, Hergest Ridge.

For the last two years we've been taking the BBC Introducing Recording Roadshow out-and-about - and this was the last town in Herefordshire we've not yet visited.

When we rolled up at the Oxford Arms we were promised the biggest storm of the decade - which has been a general theme of our recording sessions this year - but luckily it came to nothing!

BBC Introducing recording session

BBC Introducing recording session
BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 24 November at Tower Studios in Pershore and features the five acts we plan to broadcast throughout December.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on BBC Hereford & Worcester.

Doors open at 6pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 10pm.

BBC Children In Need

BBC Children In Need

£31m and still counting - this year's Children In Need has beaten last year's record money-raising total.

As well as contributing ourselves in Herefordshire & Worcestershire - whether it'd be through the vocal talents of Kington's Ellie Goulding - or maybe you stitched together a bit of bunting for our 6 1/4 mile record breaking attempt - there's a number of local organisations who benefit from the monies raised.

Tonight we hear from The Music Pool in Hereford and the Worcester Snoezelen Centre - two charities that help young people with confidence through music.

Crowsaw Interview

From the Highway to Hell to Hard Rock Blues - our guests tonight sound like they're having a wild time of it on the heavy, blues rock scene.

They're the Golden Valley band Crowsaw, who've just secured a gig opening a major blues festival in North Wales next March.

The BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass

The BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass
If you're a budding solo artist, an MC, or just started a brand new band then you should check out BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclasses.

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over BBC Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.

On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's Shaun Williams, Malvern's 5parks, Bromyard's Tenz, Droitwich's Case Closed and Bewdley's Barbarix.

Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's Daniel & The Scandals, Kidderminster's Lauren Wright and man-of-many-Worcester-bands Pete Adams.

We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.

We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.

This week, we hear from Rob MacAllister from Music Ally, who deals with digital music marketing and strategy plus Alistair Tant, an expert in digital marketing about whether the day of the CD is over.
