In Session

This week's session was recorded at the Malvern Cube - as part of Malvern Rocks 2013.
Mike Knowles, from Ledbury, started off life as a choirboy - then during his teenage years, grew his hair long, bought himself an electric guitar and became his own rock god.
He's one of Andy O'Hare's favourite artists and is a regular at the open mic nights in Worcester, where his sets are very much X-rated.

Festivals

Taking place across many pubs, hotels and clubs in Malvern, this new music festival put the rich, diverse pool of musical talent in and around Malvern to work for a great local cause: Acorns Children's Hospice.
Three days of free music included pop to punk, folk to metal - in a similar format to that of the Worcester Music Festival.
This year TV star and celebrity chef Loyd Grossman headlined the event with his new band!

Slap TV

The people behind the Worcester music publication Slap Mag have launched their own television channel - on YouTube!
Ralph Titley, the man behind Malvern Rocks, is making the films.
His background is in television production and aims to showcase the artistic talent we have here in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Worcester Warriors
This weekend, the Worcester Warriors have been taking London Irish in their first home game of the season.
At the start of the game there were some fresh sounds - written by people from Herefordshire & Worcestershire.
We Are Warriors is the brand new song to accompany the squad as they run out at Sixways at home matches.

This week, we've sent Andy O'Hare out-and-about!
The Bromyard Folk Festival features over 170 hours of entertainment in just one weekend of traditional music, song and dance.
This year the Garway Folk Weekend has folded - and have passed their accounts over, in the form of a donation, to the Bromyard organisers.
There will be ceilidhs, concerts, dance displays, camping, fine food and various workshops.

Radio 2 in Hyde Park

BBC Introducing brings together all of the BBC's supporters of undiscovered and unsigned music and since 2007 has championed brand new talent from across the UK.
Every year you'll find us at many of the biggest and best music festivals across the country featuring a wide variety of new music and for the very first time BBC Introducing headed to Radio 2's Live In Hyde Park: Festival In A Day.
Chosen by us was Leominster's George Barnett - who we last featured on stage at the Wychwood Festival.
Through BBC Introducing, thousands of unsigned artists and musicians have been given access to a bigger audience on air, online and on the TV.
Without a doubt, if you're an unsigned artist, BBC Introducing is the place to get your best music heard by the BBC...and who knows what opportunities could be around the corner.
