Work gets underway on BBC Wales drama village
Construction work has begun on the Cardiff Bay production centre that will house BBC Wales dramas including Doctor Who and Casualty, along with other businesses from the creative media.
BBC executives, politicians and developers will visit the Roath Basin site today to celebrate work getting underway. Director of BBC Cymru Wales, Menna Richards, has described the as-yet-unnamed development as "a fantastic opportunity to build on the success of BBC Wales drama production and the wider creative industries in Wales".
