I don't have a dug. Or a cat.

One of the morons has a lizard called Eddie.

It doesn't matter what music I play, Eddie is immune and shows no sign of being affected by it in anyway.

So I have asked Eddie directly what music she has heard over the last four years that she has lived with us that she most enjoyed.

" I really liked the radio edit of 'Chariots' by Transglobal Underground' siad Eddie.

At least, I'm sure that's what she said.

My dogs could care less what I listen to, but they do go "wild" when they see cats, birds, and the mailman.

The two dogs are always too busy looking for cats to eat, to listen to the radio... but I do have the CD player on in the cow shed when mucking out and feeding the highland cattle who are on the yard in the winter.... only last Sunday I had a couple of bulling heifers, how should I say, playing leap-frog, accompanied by The Smith, 'What Difference Does It Make'.

You are all going away off theme. You can't just pick titles with animals in it or titles that describe behaviour. The theme is songs that drive your pets wild when they actually hear the songs.

Surely to goodness you can take the theme seriously.

I have a tamagotchi and I'm off to play it some music to see what reaction I get.

Well, we pick the music (unless it's Gong or 'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye') but the high heidyins at the politbureau in Pacific Quay direct the themes.

It is for us, the blogotariat, to implement the high heidyins strategic dircetion - even if we don't think it's the right direction - we still have to treat the strategy seriously and implement it.We know our place.

In consulting with the morons' pet lizard about tonight's selection of musical requests, I feel I am conducting myself in line with the strategic direction imposed from the high heidyins and treating the strategic direction and plan with the gravitas and seriousness that is required.

Over the lunch hour I even phoned home and asked Smiffy to consult with Eddie as to whether there were any additional suggestions. Mention of the 12" version of Say Hello, Wave Goodbye - Soft Cell brought on some head nodding - so that's a choice of two now - hopefully we'll hear one of them.

Such a theme does offer the prospect of 'payback time' - I'm sure you can all recall the infamous moment when this version of Say Hello Wave Goodbye was requested and our hero and Kirstin irrationally decided to play some droning whining apology of a song by David Grey instead.

Eddie agrees the 12" Soft Cell version is the bees knees and I think we should hear it in al its magnificent glory, Alison.

My dog gets paranoid when I play Razzamanazz by Nazareth - couple of tracks in particular kick it off.
