the accoustic, string quartet (a la Eleanor Rigby) version of this song from the Love Album is truly beautiful and allows us to hear the delicacy of George Harrison's voice and lyric. The same track on the White Album is overly elongated, George's voice gets drowned out with Clapton's guitar and endless whining towards the end.

Scotch, it's a well known fact that Gaie had the hots for Clapton since knee high to a grasshopper - however, as regular blogger, henri hannah, texted in his theme idea on the spur of the moment, whilst sitting at the traffic lights at Canniesburn Toll on the way to visit The Ayatollah in Bearsden - it was the impact of the song much more than the artist that was going through my mind - though I accept that simply having the hots for the artist is good enough.

For example, one of my choices would be K D Lang based upon her beautiful singing voice, it's impact upon my soul and I think 'this is someone I'd like to be close to, their spirit has touched me'

I think it's fair to say that K.D. Lang is unlikely to have similar feelings about Henri.

It's been documented before on this blog that my fantasy main squeeze is Justin Currie. He can do no wrong...my regard for him survives even that silly tuft of hair he grew below his bottom lip! My undying passion for Justin was cemented upon hearing 'Tell Her This' by Del Amitri which is a beautiful song with the most wonderful lyrics.

I bought it for £3:00 in HMV to use up a voucher I'd been given at Xmas and I've got round to playing it over the last few days.

Completely blown away - is there a more perfectly formed pop album? Proof that you can't beat a good tune.How they follow that up, I've no idea.

I've had 'Tubas In The Moonlight' going round in my head all afternoon.It's amazingly infectious.I loathe supermarkets, but inevitably found myself in Tesco in Milngavie around teatime. Everybody looked so miserable I decided to burst into 'Tubas In the Moonlight' at the checkout queue. Those that didn't automatically write me off as weirdo seemed hugely cheered up by it. Someone from Tesco will have clocked it, no doubt, and soon check out queues up and down the land will be serenaded by supermarket staff singing 'Tubas in the Moonlight'.

In my mind I can hear Bryan's voice " tonight's theme was chosen by regular blogger, henri hannah,- what would cheer up your supermarket check out queue?.."

Fear not Joe - My list for Tuesday has had to be reduced and is not yet ready for publication, but it's interesting - so far most menfolk have listed multiple partners and the wimmin folk are quite monogamous by comparison.
