LOSTatHOME are a 4-piece pop/rock band from Redditch, influenced by John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Since forming in July 2013, they've already been track of the week on BBC Hereford & Worcester, had national airplay on the Best Of BBC Introducing with Mark Forrest and played on the BBC stage at LakeFest for Danni Hunt.

All of our live studio sessions and festival gigs since 2005...

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding

She's from Kington in Herefordshire, went to Lady Hawkins High School, and regularly took part in open mic nights in Hereford city centre.

But now, Ellie Goulding has teamed up with DJ Fresh.

Last week, they paid a visit to BBC Broadcasting House.

The BBC Hereford & Worcester Musicians' Masterclass

The BBC Hereford & Worcester Musicians' Masterclass
As part of this year's Worcester Music Festival, we brought our ever-popular Musicians' Masterclass to The Hive in Worcester - putting together a panel of industry experts to answer those all important questions, such as:
  • How do I get signed?
  • Is there an easy way to land gigs in other areas?
  • How do I build a fanbase?
  • How do you write a number one song?
  • What's the best way to sell your music?

This week, we hear from Glazz who asks the question - is there any point in releasing records nowadays?

Answering that is Nigel Clark of Dodgy, Martin Chambers of The Pretenders, Scott Garrett of MAS Records and Ella Nozworthy of the Nozstock Festival.

More from our national masterclasses...

BBC Introducing in Hereford

BBC Introducing in Hereford
BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 26 October at KJM Studios in Plough Lane, Hereford, and features five acts who we've been playing on BBC Hereford & Worcester recently.

This is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

The BBC Hereford & Worcester stage at SnodFest nr Pershore

SnodFest has got to be our favourite festival story.

A few years back, a group of people got together in Upton Snodsbury with the idea of building a park.

But instead of holding a car boot, bingo evening or jumble sale, decided to hold their own music festival.

This has now turned into an annual event, with the exception of last year, to fund the upkeep of the area.
