We all feel like we're making a difference when we do charity work and the same applies to the rich and famous too. Yes, they're just as compassionate when it comes to helping others, so here's a look at some famous faces who've been involved in the selfless world of charity work. And perhaps it'll inspire you to get involved in Radio 1's #1MillionHour challenge.
One Direction got emotional during their visit to Ghana

Back in 2013 - and when One Direction were five rather than four - they visited the Princess Marie Children's Hospital in Accra, Ghana and got a bit of a harsh reality check. There as part of Red Nose Day, the boys were close to tears at times, according to the Mirror.

Justin Bieber helped build a school in Guatemala

A couple of years ago pop prince Justin Bieber travelled to Guatemala to help build a school and make a difference. In this video confession Biebs talks about what an eye-opening and personally rewarding experience the trip was and how humbled he felt to be around people in such desperate poverty. It certainly put his life into perspective.
Selena Gomez hangs out with poorly children in hospital

Selena Gomez is known as one of the nicest, most down to earth people in pop, so it's only natural that she be involved with a number of charity organisations. Not only does she set aside time to visit ill kids in hospital as part of The Ryan Seacrest Foundation, but she's also heavily involved with the Make A Wish Foundation too.
She's also campaigned with UNICEF over West and Central Africa's serious nutrition crisis, fighting to raise money for malnourished children.
Kylie Jenner volunteered at a local LA soup kitchen
Celebs don't need to travel halfway round the world to make a difference - just look at Kylie Jenner's work with the local LA community. In 2014 she helped out Los Angeles Mission to feed the homeless. Things like this exist over here too, with volunteering at food banks proving a vital part of British life in 2016, if you're keen to get involved.
Brooklyn Beckham and his mum Victoria have done their bit
The Beckhams are well know for their tireless charity work over the years and it seems Victoria and David have instilled the same mentality into their kids. Way back in 2009, Victoria and eldest son Brooklyn (now 17) visited Kentucky as part of the Save the Children, according to Zimbio.
He gave out shoes and backpacks to kids, as his mum voiced how she was glad he wanted to help: "I'm pleased Brooklyn is learning that by helping and joining other children he can play a role in making his generation the greatest yet. Seeing Save the Children's innovative programs in action, I know that we can begin to reverse the childhood poverty crisis."
He's since travelled to Africa to raise funds for Born Free Africa which battles to help children born with HIV.
Most recently, younger brother Cruz has released a charity Christmas single, so it's definitely running in the family!
Katy Perry has taken time out to help kids in Vietnam

After Katy Perry visited Vietnam as part of UNICEF earlier this year, she began raising awareness and called for aid for the children who are being left behind in one of Asia's fastest growing economies. She's visited some of the poorest parts of the region in the hope her status will get the message out to a lot of people who can make a real difference.

Emma Watson is a big player where humanitarian issues and women's rights are concerned. The former Harry Potter star has done a ton of worthwhile campaigning since becoming UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Known for her efforts to improve education for girls in places like Bangladesh and Zambia, her reputation, intelligence, and willingness to help make her an ideal Ambassador.
Miley Cyrus has been involved in A LOT of worthy causes

You may not be aware but Miley Cyrus does a heckuva lot of things for various charities. In fact, places like Movie Pilot are keen to highlight the singer and actress's commitment to helping others. In 2014 she was named as the fourth most charitable celeb, ahead of Emma Watson and Chris Pratt (who also does his fair share).
She's worked with the Make A Wish Foundation and helped underpriveleged kids in Haiti too.

As MTV remind us, she's visited sick kids and given them private performances, given fans money to buy food, spent hours having lunch with an ill fan, donated 14,000 books to Nashville Public Library, as well as teamed up with UNICEF and various other organisations.
