Luther steps out of the lift, onto the roof of his flat, trundling a large bag behind him.

LUTHER (voice over)

The rain is comforting.

Luther crouches by a shape wrapped in black plastic bag. A human shape.

LUTHER (voice over)

I've seen so much to forget today.

Luther's face, against the back drop of London. His rage. Frustration. Despair.

LUTHER (voice over)

Something snaps as I squeeze it into the bag.

Luther is back in the lift going down. Collected, calm. The bag next to him, clearly heavier.

Luther shuts the car boot. He sees Frank.

FRANK

Wotcher

Frank points his gun at Luther. Luther seems relaxed, apart from a flicker of panic in his eye.

FRANK

Open the boot, John.
