It’s the UK’s most important prize for fiction, and critics are calling it the best shortlist in years. Excitingly, almost all the authors are new. Six champions, including David Baddiel, Mariella Frostrup and Val McDermid, make the case for their favourites, courtesy of BBC Two’s Artsnight.
