Radio 1's Academy 2018

Tickets are issued by Skiddle.com on behalf of the BBC. Use of the ticket and attendance at Radio 1’s Academy are subject to these terms and conditions and your use of a ticket or attendance at Radio 1’s Academy signifies your agreement to these terms and conditions.

1. Entry to this event is at the BBC’s sole discretion and the BBC reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone. Please be aware that the BBC may issue more tickets than there are available spaces as not everyone who requests a ticket will always go on to use that ticket, and we want to ensure that all available spaces will be filled.

2. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions and to agree to be bound by them when registering.

3. By entering this event you agree to follow the reasonable directions of the BBC particularly in respect of health and safety matters.

4. By entering this event you are a) giving your consent to be filmed and photographed by the BBC and agreement to be included within any resulting film, photograph and/or audio recording; and b) assigning all your rights in any contribution to the BBC for use in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world.

5. The BBC’s decision as to the allocation of tickets is final. No correspondence relating to the ticket giveaway will be entered into.

6. Attendance at Radio 1's Academy is restricted to those who are 16 on or before August 31st 2018. If you are 15, but turn 16 by August 31st 2018, you will only be able to attend the Academy once you’ve gained and presented written parental/guardian consent. Anyone younger than this will not be admitted. Tickets will be named, and ID and proof of age /parental consent may be requested on entry.

7. Registration is open to residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland only. Other overseas entries will not be considered.

8. Re-admission to the event is permitted. Those returning to the event will have to go through the security procedures again.

9. Each ticket is for a specific session ONLY. If on the day you wish to sign up to another session you must go to the booking desk to see if space is available.

10. The BBC does not accept any responsibility for late or lost tickets. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

11. The following articles are not permitted within the venue – flags, chairs, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, glass vessels, poles and articles that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.

12. Tickets may not be sold, traded or offered for sale; and may not be used as a prize or for any other promotional or trade purpose by any organisation other than the BBC. Sale or attempted sale is grounds for seizure or cancellation and those trying to use resold or cancelled tickets will be refused entry into the venue.

13. The entire event site is non-smoking. Anyone who does not comply with this non-smoking policy will be ejected.

14. No animals, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted into the event.

15. The BBC shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense howsoever caused, except in the case of death or personal injury where this is directly caused by a negligent act or omission of the BBC.

16. The BBC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments to these terms and conditions will be displayed at the entrance to the event.

17. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any registration being lost, not properly registered or e-tickets not arriving.

18. Your personal details will be handled by the BBC in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (until repealed), the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (until repealed) and, from 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and any legislation that implements the GDPR in the United Kingdom and all other applicable laws and regulations which may be in force from time to time relating to the processing of Personal Data, and in line with the BBC’s Privacy and Cookies Policy. The BBC will use the personal details that you provide only for the purposes of administering this event. We will not share your details to any third parties without your permission. 19. The promoter of the ticket giveaway is the British Broadcasting Corporation.

20. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) cancel the ticket-giveaway, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control; (ii) disqualify any applicant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) cancel, amend or change the event (including the line-up and activities) at any stage; (iv) refuse entry to the event, at any stage, should any ticket holder or their guest exhibit inappropriate or dangerous behaviour (including, but not limited to, being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or chemical substances or causing a nuisance)

21. Should the event be cancelled or line-up changed, the BBC will not be liable for the payment of any compensation.

22. The organisers will use their right to search all persons and personal property via the use of bag searches and security checks and refuse admission to, or eject from, the venue, any person who refuses to be searched by a steward or other person acting on their behalf.

23. Unauthorised professional photography or use of professional recording equipment is prohibited. Zoom lens, audio visual or cinematographic devices will not be permitted into the venue.

24. These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

5. Mae penderfyniad y BBC o ran dyrannu tocynnau’n derfynol. Ni ymunir mewn unrhyw ohebiaeth yn ymwneud â’r broses o rannu tocynnau.

6. Mae presenoldeb yn Academi Radio 1 yn gyfyngedig i’r rhai sy’n 16 oed ar neu cyn Awst 31ain 2018. Os ydych chi’n 15 oed ond y byddwch yn 16 erbyn Awst 31, 2018, ni fyddwch yn gallu bod yn bresennol yn yr Academi oni fyddwch wedi cael caniatâd ysgrifenedig rhieni/gwarcheidwad ac wedi cyflwyno’r caniatâd ysgrifenedig hwnnw. Ni fydd unrhyw unigolyn iau na hyn yn cael mynediad. Bydd enwau ar docynnau ac efallai y gofynnir am brawf oedran/caniatâd rhieni cyn mynd i mewn.

7. Dim ond preswylwyr y DU a Gweriniaeth Iwerddon a gaiff gofrestru. Ni fydd ceisiadau tramor eraill yn cael eu hystyried.

8. Caniateir mynd yn ôl i mewn i’r digwyddiad. Bydd yn rhaid i’r rhai sy’n dychwelyd i’r digwyddiad fynd drwy’r gweithdrefnau diogelwch eto.

9. Mae pob tocyn ar gyfer sesiwn benodol YN UNIG. Os byddwch chi, ar y diwrnod, yn dymuno cofrestru ar gyfer sesiwn arall rhaid i chi fynd i’r ddesg archebu i weld a oes lle ar gael.

10. Nid yw'r BBC yn derbyn unrhyw gyfrifoldeb am docynnau sy’n cyrraedd yn hwyr neu’n cael eu colli. Nid yw prawf o anfon yn brawf o dderbyn.

11. Ni chaniateir yr eitemau canlynol yn y lleoliad - baneri, cadeiriau, cyllyll, tân gwyllt, tuniau mwg, cyrn aer, ffaglau, arfau, eitemau peryglus, dyfeisiau laser, gwydrau, polion ac eitemau a allai gael eu defnyddio fel arf/neu beryglu diogelwch y cyhoedd.

12. Ni chaniateir i docynnau gael eu gwerthu, eu masnachu neu eu cynnig ar werth; ac ni chaniateir iddynt gael eu defnyddio fel gwobrau neu i unrhyw ddiben hyrwyddol neu fasnachol arall gan unrhyw sefydliad ac eithrio’r BBC. 13. Mae’r digwyddiad cyfan yn un di-fwg. Bydd unrhyw un nad yw’n cydymffurfio â’r polisi dim-ysmygu hwn yn cael ei daflu allan.

14. Ni chaniateir unrhyw anifeiliaid, ac eithrio cŵn tywys a chŵn cymorth yn y digwyddiad.

15. Ni fydd y BBC yn atebol am unrhyw golled, difrod, cost neu wariant, sut bynnag yr achoswyd ef, ac eithrio yn achos marwolaeth neu niwed personol lle y caiff hyn ei achosi’n uniongyrchol drwy weithred neu anwaith esgeulus gan y BBC.

16. Mae’r BBC yn cadw’r hawl i ddiwygio’r telerau a’r amodau hyn ar unrhyw adeg. Bydd unrhyw ddiwygiadau i’r telerau a’r amodau hyn yn cael eu harddangos ym mynedfa’r digwyddiad.

Bydd eich manylion personol yn cael eu trin gan y BBC yn unol â Deddf Diogelu Data 1998 (hyd nes y diddymir hi), Rheoliadau Preifatrwydd a Chyfathrebu Electronig (Cyfarwyddeb y GE) 2003 (hyd nes y diddymir hwy), ac o 25 Mai 2018, y Rheoliadau Diogelu Data Cyffredinol 2016/679 (“GDPR”) ac unrhyw ddeddfwriaeth sy’n rhoi’r GDPR ar waith yn y DU a’r holl ddeddfau a rheoliadau perthnasol eraill a allai fod mewn grym o dro i dro yn ymwneud â phrosesu Data Personol, ac yn unol â Pholisi Preifatrwydd a Chwcis y BBC.
