Argentina now provides 30 per cent of China's soya needs, and the Asian giant is now Argentina's fourth major destination for its products.
But is Argentina relying too much on China - and especially on soya exports - for its economic recovery? Is it a good idea to concentrate in one crop to make business with a global superpower?
