A piano

This month find out about:

Humour
We all know having a laugh is a way of making our lives better, but exactly how does it work? This week, Jackie Dalton talks to Jennifer Coates, a Professor of English Language and Linguistics about her research into humour and how it's used.

Brazilian Snakes
We travel to Sao Paulo in Brazil - home to some of the most poisonous snakes in the world. Anna Jones talks to Octavio Mercadente who is the director of the Butantan Institute - also known as 'the snake farm.' The Butantan Institute does important research into many different kinds of snakes and other reptiles and it also produces serum and vaccines against venomous snake bites for the whole of Brazil.

Piano
Pianos are usually found in houses or in some sort of building, but this week we hear about a piano with a very different sort of home - out in the street.

Carnival Museum
This week we take a look at one of the best known carnivals in the world. For a few days each year the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil is full of people having one of the biggest street parties in the world.
